Solution

The correct option is A Small intestine
The small intestine is divided into 3 parts namely the duodenum, jejunum, and ileum. The mucosa layer of the small intestine consists of small finger-like projections called villi. The villi increases surface area for absorption. After digestion, carbohydrates, fats and proteins are converted into their simplest forms. These simple molecules i.e. glucose, fructose, galactose, amino acids, and fatty acids are all absorbed into the bloodstream or lymph. This absorption occurs in the small intestine.

The mouth is the first part of the alimentary canal. It helps in the mastication of food by mixing it with the saliva.
The stomach is divided into 3 regions i.e. cardiac, body, and pyloric. Absorption of water, simple sugars, and alcohol take place in this region.
The large intestine is divided into 3 parts i.e caecum, colon, rectum, and anal canal. Various substances like water, minerals are absorbed in this region.
