Solution

The correct option is D Single stranded radioactive DNA
A single stranded DNA which is labelled with a radioactive molecule used as a probe in DNA fingerprinting. Once the labelled probe finds its complementary sequence in the sample DNA, it gets hybridised with it. After that, the exposure to X-rays gives rise to specific bands on the X-ray film. This is called an autoradiogram. Comparison of autoradiograms between different individuals help to determine the similarity/ relation between them.
