The correct option is D
Both B and C
Based on his observations in monohybrid cross, Mendel proposed two general rules. Today these rules are known as laws or principles of inheritance- the law of dominance (first law). The law of dominance which states that characters are controlled by discrete units called factors. Factors occur in pairs. In a dissimilar pair of factors one member of the pair dominates (dominant) the other (recessive). The second law is the law of segregation or law of purity of the gametes (second law). The law of segraegation states that although the parents contain two alleles during gamete formation, the factors or alleles of a pair segregate from each other such that a gamete receives only one of the two factors.
