Solution

The correct option is B Zona pellucida
Antral follicle
Antral follicle is also called a tertiary follicle or Graffian follicle. The tertiary follicle is formed by the transformation of the secondary follicle. It contains a fluid-filled cavity called the antrum.

Structure of the antral follicle
The structure of the antral follicle is as follows:
1)Antral follicle contains an oocyte surrounded by one or more layers of granulosa cells derived from the germinal epithelium.
2)A thick transparent noncellular layer called zona pellucida surrounds the oocyte. It is composed of glycoproteins.
3)Outside the zona pellucida is the corona radiata composed of enlarged follicle cells.
4)It has a fluid-filled cavity called the antrum which is filled with liquor folliculi.
5)The mature oocyte is attached to the wall of the follicle through a pedicel called cumulus oophorus.
6)The membrane granulosa is surrounded by the theca interna and theca externa.
