Refining process used for mercury is Distillation refining.

Refining process used for iron is oxidation refining.

Aluminium is extracted from its refined ore using electrolytic reduction. The end product is molten aluminium which is 99.5 - 99.8% pure and so the metal doesn't need any further refining. But the end product is obtained using electrometallurgy.

Refining process used for lead is liquation refining.
