Area of a polygon can be found by splitting it into known geometrical figures i.e. triangles, rectangles, trapezium etc.

In method -1, We are splitting a hexagon into two trapeziums. We take the sum of the areas of two trapeziums to find the area of given hexagon.

In method -2, Hexagon is splitting into two triangles and one rectangle. By taking the sum of the areas of triangles and rectangle we can find the area of given hexagon.

In method -3, Hexagon is splitting into 6 triangles. We can take the sum of the areas of all the triangles to find the area of a given hexagon.
