RNA is a nucleic acid which is made up of nucleotides that contain ribose sugars, nitrogenous bases and phosphate groups. There are two types of nitrogenous bases - purines, pyrimidines.
Adenine and guanine are purines whereas, thymine, cytosine and uracil are pyrimidines.
Uracil is present only in RNA, whereas thymine is present only in DNA. Thus, thymine is the nitrogenous base which is not present in RNA.
