The correct option is A Zona glomerulosa
The adrenal gland is situated on top of the kidney and it has 2 main parts - adrenal cortex and adrenal medulla.
The adrenal cortex is further divided into three layers, called zona reticularis (inner layer), zona fasciculata (middle layer) and zona glomerulosa (outer layer).
Zona glomerulosa produces and secretes the mineralocorticoid aldosterone into the blood. The zona fasciculata cells of the adrenal cortex synthesise and secrete glucocorticoids. Zona reticularis secretes sex hormones (androgens) and small amounts of glucocorticoids.
The adrenal medulla secretes two hormones called adrenaline or epinephrine and noradrenaline or norepinephrine. These are commonly called catecholamines.
