Question

Which of the following parts of the eye is controls the focal length of eye lens?

Open in App
Solution

The change in curvature of the eye lens changes its focal length. The action of the ciliary muscles helps in changing the curvature of the eye lens by stretching or contracting it.

When the muscles are relaxed, the lens becomes thin, thus increasing its focal length. And when the muscles contract, the lens becomes thicker and its focal length decreases.
