The water cycle is shown below -
  • Due to heat, water from water bodies convert to water vapor. This process is called evaporation.
  • Plants lose water to the air through a process called transpiration.
  • As the water vapor rises up, temperature reduces and water vapor converts back to liquid water and form clouds. This process is called condensation.
  • When the water droplets in the clouds become heavy, they fall in the form of rain. This is called precipitation.
