The correct option is B Na/dry ether
A metal is used in Wurtz reaction which is highly reactive. So, we need a solvent which does not react with sodium metal. If we do not use dry ether then, the sodium metal will react with water to form oxides and hydroxides and disturb the reaction. Dry ether is a very good poly aprotic solvent.
Dry ether is used as a catalyst too.
