As we know, the integrated rate law expression is

For t=t1/2,

Hence, the half life period is
t1/2=2.303λlogN0N0/2 ..... (1)
When

t=t3/4, three fourth of the decay process is complete and N=N04
t3/4=2.303λlogN0N0/4 ...... (2)
Divide equation (2) by equation (1)

t3/4t1/2=logN0N0/4logN0N0/2=2

t3/4=t1/2×2
