Which of the following situations will not require a caesarean section?
Rupture of amniotic sac and onset of uterine contractions
When the baby is in a bottom down and head up position it is termed as breech position. In this situation a caesarean will be suggested. If the cervix is not dilated or if there is no labour pain, childbirth cannot progress naturally, requiring a caesarean section. However, rupturing of the amniotic sac is a natural process in parturition which will lead to a normal childbirth if no other complications set in.
