Solution
The correct option is C Merozoite
The parasites in infected liver cells of humans are known as merozoites. Within the red blood cells of humans, the merozoites grow first to a ring-shaped form and then to a larger form called a trophozoite. In malaria, female Anopheles mosquito is the vector in which Plasmodium undergo sexual cycle.
In the vector, gametocytes develop into male and female gametes which fertilize each other, forming a zygote. Zygotes then develop into a motile form called an ookinete. Oocysts divide many times to produce large numbers of small elongated sporozoites.
