Solution

The correct option is B A data which have three modal values is said to be trimodal data.
If in the given data set 3 values have the same frequency, then the data set is said to be trimodal.

For example, consider the following data set which depicts the number of gifts wrapped on different days of a week.

It can be observed that there are three numbers, 8,11, and 12 with same frequency, thus the given data is trimodal with modal values 8,11, and 12.

Since, the given data has three modal values, therefore the data set is trimodal.

Whereas, on the other hand if each value of the data set have same frequency, then it said to have no mode.

For example, consider the number of candies bought by each student.

Since, each value occurs for the same number of times, i.e., 3, therefore this data set has no mode.

This implies a data set in which every value occurs thrice is said to have no mode.

So, option (b) is correct.
