Sexual reproduction is a mode of reproduction in which there is an involvement of two different sexes. Males produce male gametes and female produce female gametes. Both these gametes are haploid in nature as they are a result of meiotic cell division. Sexual reproduction also takes place in plants. However, almost all unicellular organisms reproduce by asexual mode of reproduction. Some unicellular organisms reproduce by sexual mode of reproduction but that does not involve mieosis. In plant the sexual structure is the flower which produces male and female gametes.
