Which of the following statement is not true for a clone?
A clone consists of the asexual progeny of a single individual or cell. The process of producing an identical copy of self is known as cloning. All the individuals of a clone have the same genotype, which is also identical with that of the 'parent' individual from which the clone was taken. Since a clone is not derived from sexual reproduction, no interchange of gametes takes place and hence no interchange of genetic information happens therefore further bringing importance to the fact that clones are genetically identical to each other and the 'parent' clone.
