Ada Lovelace, the first computer programmer. Augusta Ada King, Countess of Lovelace (10 December 1815, London – 27 November 1852, Marylebone, London) was the only legitimate child of George Gordon Byron, the famous poet. She is widely known as Ada Lovelace. She is now famously described as the “first programmer”.

George Gordon Byron, 6th Baron Byron FRS (22 January 1788 – 19 April 1824), known as Lord Byron, was a British nobleman, poet, peer, politician, and leading figure in the Romantic movement. He is regarded as one of the greatest British poets and remains widely read and influential.
