The moisture present in the atmosphere is called humidity. A dry atmosphere can hold more water molecules than a humid atmosphere. Hence, the rate of evaporation of aqueous solution increases with the decrease in humidity and vice versa. Also as surface area increases evaporation also increases as the molecules get enough space to gain energy.
