Solution

The correct options are
A

Weight is a vector quantity.

B

S.I Unit of weight is newton(N).

D

Weight is the gravitational force exerted on a body.

Weight is the gravitational force exerted on a body. Since it is a force it has both magnitude and direction i.e. weight is a vector quantity. S.I uint of weight is same as the S.I unit of force which is newton (N).

Since w=m×g (where m is the mass of the body and g is the acceleration due to gravity) and value of g varies from place to place. Therefore the value of weight also varies from place to place.
