Solution

The correct options are
A It is also called cis-trans isomerism.
B It is exhibited by alkenes only.
D In cis-isomer identical groups are on same side.
Geometrical isomerism is caused by the change in position of the functional group within a molecule. It is also called Cis-Trans isomerism, the terminology is called so because of the position of the functional group with respect to the double bond of the asymmetric carbon atom. Therefore double bond is a must, thus alkenes are the must. Triple bond does not show cis-trans isomerism. Cis is used when identical groups are on same side and trans when the identical groups are on the opposite side.
