For statement 1,
A=213
=2+13
=2×31×3+13
=63+13
=73

B=223
=2+23
=2×31×3+23
=63+23
=83

Sum of A and B =213+223
=73+83
73 and 83 are like fractions.
Adding the numerators and keeping the denominators the same,
=73+83
=7+83
=153
=5
Hence, statement 1 is true.

C=313
=3+13
=3×31×3+13
=93+13
=103

D=3

Sum of C and D =31+103
Since the denominator of both the fractions are not the same, let’s multiply 31 by 33.
=3×31×3+103
=93+103
=193
So, 193 is not equal to 6.
Hence, statement 2 is false.
