Natural resources are of two types:
1. Exhaustible: It refers to those natural resources which are present in finite quantity. They cannot be readily replaced by natural means as compared to their consumption. These resources are not eco-friendly i.e., they cause pollution. Example:coal and petroleum.
2. Inexhaustible: It refers to those natural resources which are present in infinite quantity and will not deplete throughout the existence of Earth. These resources are eco-friendly. Example: wind, solar energy, etc.
