Solution

The correct option is A It is used to check the concentration of hydrochloric acid in an acid battery.
Acid battery hydrometer is used to check the concentration or relative density of sulphuric acid in an acid battery. It typically consists of a small hydrometer enclosed in a in a large glass tube with a nozzle on one end and a rubber bulb on the other. Relative density using an acid battery hydrometer is measured by dipping it in the battery and sucking in the acid thus making the small hydrometer inside it float and the relative density is directly read with the help of the graduations on the small hydrometer. The hydrometer is graduated from 1.1 to 1.3. In a fully charged battery relative density of acid ranges from 1.25 1.30. If the density of the acid lowers more the 1.12 then it needs to be recharged and if the further lowers more than 1.10 then it cannot be recharged.
