Which of the following statements are true for Leaching?
Leaching is defined as a process of treatment of ore with a suitable reagent during which impurities remain insoluble and ore is recovered from solution by a particular chemical method. Do note that sometimes the recovery of the ore could be a direct result of a physical phenomenon (like crystallization).
Further, leaching offers excellent chemical selectivity and flexibility throughout the process and also minimizes the need for very high temperatures and refractory materials.
