Which of the following statements are true?
(i) Every whole number is a rational number.
(ii) Every integer is a rational number.
(iii) 0 is a whole number but it is not a rational number.
(i), (ii)
Any rational number can be expressed in the form of pq. So, every whole number 0, 1, 2, 3.....so on, can be expressed in the form of a rational number by taking 1 as the denominator[01, 11, 21]. For integers, ...... -2, -1, 0, 1, 2,..... we can take 1 as the denominator and they can be expressed in the form of a rational number[−21,−11, 01,11,21]. Hence, (i) and (ii) are correct.
