Solution

The correct option is A They stimulate spermatogenesis.
Leydig cells, also known as interstitial cells of Leydig, are found adjacent to the seminiferous tubules in the testicle. They produce testosterone in the presence of luteinizing hormone (LH). In the absence of testosterone, spermatogenesis does not proceed beyond the meiosis stage. Thus, Leydig cells stimulate spermatogenesis by producing testosterone which stimulates spermatogenesis.
So, the correct answer is 'They stimulate spermatogenesis'.
