Solution

The correct options are
A In reaction (I), H2SO4 acts as a dehydration agent.
B In reaction (III), H2SO4 acts both as an acid and an oxidising agent.
C In reaction (II), H2SO4 acts as an acid.
D In reaction (IV), H2SO4 acts as an oxidising agent.
A: As glucose releases 6 mol of H2O by the action of Conc. H2SO4. Hence, a dehydration agent.
B: As dil H2SO4 releases its 2 H+ to form water.
C: As dil H2SO4 releases its 2 H+ to form H2. Hence it acts as an acid. As Zn is oxidised to Zn2+, hence H2SO4 acts as an oxidising agent also.
D: As Zn is oxidised to Zn2+ hence H2SO4 acts as an oxidising agent.
