Solution

The correct option is B a and b only
  • When ATP molecule breaks into ADP molecule it will give up to 30.5 kJ of energy.
  • Pentose Phosphate Pathway was discovered by Warburg & Dickens. It is also called as HMP ( hexose monophosphate shunt ) Pathway.
  • Tripalmitin is triglyceride which is derived from the fatty acid palmitic acid its respiratory quotient ( R.Q ) is less than 1 as it consumes less oxygen than the carbon release which is found to be 0.7.
  • One glucose molecule releases 36-38 molecules of ATP which means in total one glucose molecule on complete oxidation releases up to 1164-1173 kJ /mol of energy.
So the correct option is 'a and b only'
