Solution

The correct option is D I and IV only
A lightning conductor is a metal rod or wire fixed to an exposed part of a building to divert lightning harmlessly into the ground and thereby helps protect a building. Scientists have tried lots of different ways of predicting earthquakes, but none have been successful. They have a pretty good idea of where an earthquake is most likely to hit, but can't tell exactly when it will happen. Lightning is a flash of light created by electric discharge between clouds or between cloud and the ground or any object on the ground. Earthquakes occur all the time all over the world, both along plate edges and along faults. Therefore earthquakes are always happening somewhere. So, the correct options are 'Lighting conductor protects a building from lighting and earthquakes occur at the time all over the world'.
