The correct option is A LH induces rupturing of Graafian follicle
The four phases of the menstrual cycle are menstruation, the follicular phase (proliferative phase), ovulation and the luteal phase (secretory phase).
During the proliferative phase in the uterus, the hormone estrogen is released from the maturing Graafian follicles in the ovaries.
Estrogen stimulates the proliferation of cells in the endometrium of the uterus. This peak in estrogen triggers a brief surge in luteinizing hormone (LH ) which triggers ovulation. During ovulation the graafian follicle is ruptured and the ovum is released.
The ovulation (ovulatory phase) is followed by the luteal (secretory) phase during which the remaining parts of the Graafian follicle transform as the corpus luteum which secretes large amounts of progesterone.
