Respiration is of two types: aerobic and anaerobic respiration. Aerobic involves oxygen. On the other hand, in anaerobic respiration, respiration occurs in an environment where the oxygen is very less or absent. In both the processes, energy is produced for the organism. But, the energy produced by aerobic respiration is much higher than the energy produced through anaerobic respiration.

In higher organisms, respiration involves breathing (taking in oxygen-rich air and giving out carbon dioxide-rich air through nostrils) as well as cellular respiration.

So, the correct answer is option B.
