Which of the following statements is not correct about vaporisation according to kinetic molecular theory?
The intermolecular space decreases in this process.
Vaporization is the process of changing a liquid to its vapour state at a temperature below its boiling point. In vaporisation the liquid is heated which results in breaking of molecular bonds. The molecules are then free to move as the intermolecular force of attraction decreases. Lesser force of attraction helps the liquid to vaporise at low temperature.
