Let’s find the equation of the straight line.


We already know two points on the graph, (0,5) and (4,0).

From this, we can find the slope of the line =0540=54

Therefore, the equation of the line must be
y=(54)x+b (where b is a constant)
For now, we don’t have to figure out what b is. This looks very similar to the equation of a proportional relationship
y=ax.
