Which of the following substances, when mixed with water, do not leave a residue when passed through a filter paper?
Detergent powder
The detergent powder when mixed with water will dissolve in water and forms a solution. Hence cannot be separated through filter paper whereas charcoal powder, chalk powder and slaked lime are insoluble in water. As a result, when a mixture of these with water when passed through a filter paper will leave behind residues on it.
