Solution
The correct option is D Korper-Kappe theory The Korper-Kappe theory provides the pattern of cell division at the root apex. It states that the cells at the apex of the root divide in T pattern. In a T pattern of the cell division, the initial cells divide in the horizontal plane while one of the daughter cells divide longitudinally. The outer region of root apex is known as kappe and the inner region is known as korper. In the Kappe the lower cells formed after first horizontal division, divide longitudinally forming an upright T type. In this way, it is adding new cells away from the axis and forming the root cap. In Korper, the upper daughter cell divides longitudinally to form an inverted T.
