The Ramsar Convention is an international treaty for the conservation and sustainable utilization of wetlands, recognizing the fundamental ecological functions of wetlands and their economic, cultural, scientific, and recreational value. India contains twenty seven wetlands declared as Ramsar wetlands.
The latest entry was made in January 2019 and it was Sundarbans wetland from West Bengal is the latest entry from India into the Ramsar wetland list.
Among the above given options Pulicat lake in the border of Tamilnadu and Andhra Pradesh, Bellandur lake in Karnataka are not in the Ramsar wetland list. Kanjli lake is from Punjab and it was added to the Ramsar list in 2002.
