Which of the following will not lead to a possible pregnancy?
Blockage in both the fallopian tubes
Out of the two ovaries present in the female reproductive system ideally one releases an ovum in a monthly cycle. Therefore, a woman with only one functional ovary can get pregnant. There are cases reported in which women with one ovary and one fallopian tube on either side became pregnant. Egg released in the abdominal cavity is sucked up by the fimbriae into the fallopian tube. It then passes through the fallopian tube to reach the uterus. If both the tubes are blocked, the egg cannot get implanted in the uterus, hence pregnancy cannot occur.
