Which of the quantities get transferred during the propagation of a wave:
Ripple in a pond
A dog running
A ball being thrown
When a wave propagates, there is a transfer of energy from one point to another. During its propagation, the particles of the medium only oscillate about their mean positions with little or no associated mass transport.
Due to propagation, the adjacent particles gain some velocity and start vibrating and hence momentum is getting transferred from one particle to another.
