In summers, the opposite effect is seen. The land is hotter and has a lower pressure than the ocean. As a result, wind flows from ocean to land in winters.

In summers, the winds are much stronger and can lead to storms and cyclones. The coastlines are more vulnerable to cyclones. This is because oceans provide a lot of heat energy for the cyclone to build up and become stronger.
