The angle of deviation through a prism depends on
Suppose we have an equilateral prism. Now, if the prism is filled with water, then the deviation of the light would depend on which of these - refractive index of water or that of glass (of which prism is made up of), according to the formula:
Deviation = Angle of the prism * (refractive index of the prism - 1)
Here, the angle of the prism would be 60 degrees.
What do you understand by the deviation produced by a prism? Why is it caused? State three factors on which the angle of deviation depends.
