$\frac{-8}{9}=\frac{-8\times 7}{9\times 7}=\frac{-56}{63}$

Now ,since , denominators of both the fractions are same , we will directly compare their numerators.

$-54>-56$

So , $\frac{-54}{63}>\frac{-56}{63}$

Hence , $\frac{-6}{7}>\frac{-8}{9}$.
