Which of these is not an important component of initiation of parturition in humans?
Release of prolactin
Parturition is the process of giving birth to the child, triggered by oxytocin which initiates uterine contractions. Prostaglandins are produced in response to oxytocin and CRH production. They are effective in causing uterine contractions. Estrogen and progesterone level marks the beginning of the parturition. Prolactin hormone is responsible for milk secretion at the end of pregnancy. It is not significant during the birth or initiation of parturition.
