The correct option is A Allolactose
When the lactose is available, some of the molecule gets converted into allolactose inside the cell. When Lactose is converted to allolactose by beta galactosidase, it acts as an inducer. This allolactose molecule binds with the repressor proteins thus bringing conformational changes in the repressor molecule. Any change in the structure of repressor proteins does not allow it to bind with the operator region and ultimately leading to switch on of lac operon.
