Solution

The correct options are
A Beryllium and magnesium
C Carbon and silicon
D Fluorine and chlorine

Newland arranged all the elements in the increasing order of their atomic masses. When he did this, he found that the properties of every eighth element were similar to those of the first. He compared this similarity with the octaves in music and called this law of octaves. In his periodic table, he placed the elements with similar properties under the same musical note.

As seen from the table, lithium and phosphorus were not placed under the same note and hence they will have dissimilar properties.
