Sir M. Vishveshwaraiah established colleges like the Agriculture School in Hebbal. He also played an important role in establishing the University of Mysuru in the year 1916. He also made sure that there would be a lot of improvement in trade and commerce. It was for this very reason that he started the Chambers of Commerce and Industries in Bengaluru. He helped in establishing the Mysuru Bank in 1913 for assisting all the new traders and businessmen in managing their money and accounts.
