Solution

The correct option is C Cell membrane
E coli is a prokaryotic cell whose cell wall is made up of peptidoglycan while Chlamydomonas a eukaryotic plant, the cell wall is made up of cellulose. Prokaryotic cells have 70S ribosomes while eukaryotes have 80S ribosomes in their cytoplasm.
Prokaryotes do not have histone proteins associated with their DNA while eukaryotes have histone proteins for the chromosomal organisation. The cell membrane structure is essentially the same in a prokaryotic and eukaryotic cell and made up of a phospholipid bilayer.
Thus, the correct answer is option C.
