Solution
The correct option is D Phage DNA integrates with host DNA
A virus consists of two types of the life cycle and uses of them to exhibit their multiplication in the host cell. They are :
1. Lytic cycle- The action of viral genes is to enable the virus to infect their host cell, multiply by using the host machinery like enzyme, and ribosomes and then cause the lysis of the host cell. After the lysis of the host cell many viruses liberated which can infect new host cell .
2.-Lysogenic cycle- In some viruses after infecting the host cell, viral genes get integrated with the host cell for a long time to cause lytic cycle at the later stage. So, phage integrates with the host in lysogenic cycle.
So the correct option is ' Phage DNA integrates with host DNA'.
