The third line body defense or adaptive immune system consists of cells that show specific resistance. The lymphocytes like B-Cells (Antibodies, Plasma Cells and the Memory cells) and T-Cells which show specificity towards a particular antigen are a part of third line of defense. However, the natural killer cells shows no such specificity towards an particular antigen and are a component of innate immune system.
