Trophozoites of Entamoeba histolytica attaches to wall of intestine. There is entry of calcium inside cell and all transport system of cell stops. Cell undergo lysis and death of cell occur. This leads to formation of ulcer. This process causes symptoms of abdominal pain, blood in stool and altered bowel habits. Relapsing fever is a characteristic of Plasmodium infection.
